This post is for all my pregnant ladies or ladies who plan to be pregnant in the future!
The first thing I wanted to get after finding out I was pregnant was a good pair of black leggings! I wear leggings to work every single day, so it was essential for me to have a few good pair in my closet. Today I’m sharing some of my faves & some that I wish I wouldn’t have bought. I hope this is helpful for anyone expecting! I’ll rate each pair from 1-5 stars. I’m going to go in order of rating starting with the highest.
Hands down my favorite pair! I have been wearing these since I was about 14 weeks pregnant and they have been my favorite ever since. This was one of the only pair that actually fit me when my belly was in the awkward “not really a belly yet” phase. They stay up really well on me, they’re comfy on my belly, and they make my legs & butt feel tight. They’re perfect for working out or wearing with a casual outfit. This is the only pair of leggings I would wear for working out, working, or just with a casual outfit. If you’re preggo, I would highly recommend these leggings!
Okay, I’m giving these leggings 4 1/2 stars & the only reason they don’t get 5 is because I feel like they slide down more than I would like! When I wear them I feel myself having to pull them up a lot. Other than that, these leggings are perfect! The material is so soft, especially on the tummy panel. I love that they have the pocket on the side! These are true athletic maternity leggings. If you plan on staying active during your pregnancy or you just love athlesuire wear, you need these!
This was my very first pair of maternity leggings & I do love them, but they didn’t fit correctly until my belly was a little bigger (probably around 16 or 17 weeks). These are on the athletic side, as far as leggings go, but they’re not as supportive as the first two pair. One of my complaints with them it that they don’t dip down at all in the back, so they come up really high in the back.
This is a great pair of lounging leggings! They are so soft & comfortable. I love wearing them around the house or with a casual outfit. I do have a few qualms with these leggings though. First, these leggings are see through. They definitely do not pass the squat test! Second, they’re not super supportive. I would not wear these for working out, so if you’re looking for an all-in-one leggings these are not the ones, but if you’re just looking for some comfy leggings these are perfect!
So, I wanted to love these legging so bad, but they’re just okay. They have some cute details (can’t really tell in these pics), but I just don’t love the fit. I thought I would like how low the back goes, but it turns out I just find myself tugging on them constantly. The ankles also aren’t super tight which is just a personal pet peeve of mine with any leggings. The belly panel is soft & I do still wear these, but more as a last resort for work. In hindsight, I would not have bought these leggings.
Old pics, but I couldn’t justify another change of pants when I already have pics in these ones 😂 This is a decent pair of maternity leggings. I love that you can wear them all the way up or you can roll them down. They’re not as supportive as I wanted & the ankles are really loose. My other con with these is the lines on the belly panel. It makes them a little itchy after wearing them for a long time. I do still love to wear them for working out, just not for an extended period of time.
I don’t have pics in my last few pair, so I’ll just rate them & give a little info.
These leggings are comfortable & super affordable, but they’re pretty see through when I bend over or even bend my knees. If you just needs some lounge leggings for around the house these are perf though!
I am not a fan of these leggings. The only thing I like about them is the price. I thought as my belly grew they would fit better, but they’re still baggy on me.
